Bob Pape's (R-Type. ZX Spectrum) free book

Might be an interesting read for some (older?) gamers.

Happy times! That was my first PC. 30 years ago. Only the rich could afford a Apple back then. I know I couldn't afford one.

Same! I was still at school back in 1983 when I got mine and had to save for weeks to afford one!

Thanks for the heads-up OP, this is an amazing read, I'm hooked! I loved Rampage on the speccy so getting to read about the highs and lows of its development before he moved onto R-Type has been fascinating!
