"Cookies Not Enabled"

So I've been trying to sell some trading cards on the community market through the app, but recently when I go into my inventory the "sell" button is grayed out and I get the message "Cookies are not enabled in your browser. Check that all cookies are allowed by your browser or try logging out and then in again".

However, I can trade in my actual browser. It's just the steam app that won't let me sell on the market. How does one enable cookies on the app when they appear to already be enabled in my normal browser?

I'm also unable to give verification that I'm not a US Citizen/Resident. Every time it redirects back my account page ( //store.steampowered.com/account )

The only solution I've been able to find that will resolve the problem is to find where you have steam installed and delete all files in the folder EXCEPT "Steamapps" and "Steam.exe". Run steam after you have completed the above and let it download core files.

I am now able to sell items. Hope this helps! Cheers.

So just the files, or all files and folders? As if it's all files and folders, I'd rather just use my browser to fix the cookie problem than need to re-install all of my games.

If you leave "Steam.exe" and your "Steamapps" folder your games won't be deleted. (Delete everything else in your steam folder) Just run steam once you've deleted all other files and it will acquire the files steam needs and your games will be there still.

Albeit late, I've had the error as well and after logging in, checking to see if it works, and logging back out if it doesn't work several times worked for me (When I had the error, I believe it also suggested doing this as well)

Unfortunatelly Firefox has serious problems with the cookies handling... I have to fill in the cookies for steamcommunity.com everytime when I restart Firefox. And of course, I have to restart Steam, as well! Not fair, Firefox, not fair!

Cookies not enabled message

Thanks, it also worked for me. You are a lifesaver. Also try this since steam uses IE (internet explorer to open it by default):

Here is a solution by BlackJackal( Am using Internet Explorer 10 )

Since steam uses Internet Options
1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Internet options ( Top right is a Gear Icon)
3. Go to Privacy tab
4. Advance
5. check " Override automatic cookie handling"
6. Select Accept for both First-Party Cookies & Thrid-Party Cookies
7. Check under " Always allow session cookies"
8. Ok > Apply > Ok
9. Close Internet Explorer and Restart Steam

Hope this helps.

Having this issue suddenly, tried above post ^

then tried to delete all of steam(except steamapps and steam.exe)

neither work, I still can't trade. But oddly now I can use the market again.. So it did something.. Just not full fix.

EDIT: So, someone posted a fix that worked.

Even though I basically uninstalled steam. Deleting just the config folder in steam worked for me.
