SDK Feedback Thread

We've got a preliminary release of the SDK available on Steam now.

If you experience any problems, please post them to this thread so we can prioritize our tasks for the next couple of days.

I loaded SiN.
I then loaded the SDK, reset game config and refresh SDK Content and start Hammer. As soon as I hit File > New it crashes.

So far I am unable to use the SDK

It crashes for me too when I try to load a map

It crashes when i want to start it.
MountFilesystem( 1316 ) failed: SteamMountFilesystem........

Cassius58, kriols: Do either of you have HL2? If so, can you try launching Hammer from the Source SDK and see if you get the same result?

VoKuHiLa_Man: Do you have the USK release?

I live in Norway, so I have the English version.
HL2's Hammer works for me.

MikeR,

I do have HL2

Hammer on the Source SDK works just perfect.

I do not get a mount system error it simply crashes.

I tried the SiN SDK model viewer and it works perfectly and was able to browse through your models so it's really hammer from your SDK that has a problem.

I got the german version.
The SDK is nowhere to be found in my steam
games list, already tried logout/login, but no change.
Is there another shortcut to enable the SDK download?

Did you try restarting Steam?

yes, several times now
i got the mini update for sin, because i got
the crash problem when playing arena now

but the sdk didn't show up

It is under tools not games.
