Texture problem.
Does anyone know why my texture looks like this, and how I can fix it?

Do you have lighting in your map? If so, check that it gets light......

Change the lightmap scale on the non-displacement surface to match that of the displacement surface.

On the 3d view, click "camera" and select" 3d lightmap grid" see if you can see that they match up.

you probably have all the sides of your brushes turned into displacements rather than jsut the tops. remove the displacements form the uneeded faces. Its blending the light round the edge of the face to the displacements that are hidden form view causing that shadow.
