Bloom
I tried using the bloom shader, the result, my object looked like a highly localized world tare. Anybody know the right way to use this one?

So after a week of trying to figure this out I finally do and I get this:

I've got bloom! Added 'Existing Items' env_tonemap_controller.cpp to Server and C_env_tonemap_controller.cpp to Client e voila, bloom! I note this to all those who don't know and aren't routed through to chatbear.....................
