Model doesn't show up
Hi all,
I followed the wiki SDK programming docs and created model entity code and added in the server project as described by the doc. But the model doesn't appear in the testmap that I load when creating a server. Do I have to edit the map file and embed the model in the map for it to be visible? Thank you. |

I dont get what you mean. Do you mean that you created an entity in code and it doesnt show up in the map? Have you added that entity to that map?

I haven't added that entity to the loaded map though. So do I need to add it to the map? |

did you add the entity info into a fgb and add that fgb to hammer? so that hammer can place that entity into the maps.

Yes I created the fgb file and added it to the hammer. But how do I associate the map that I load with the model entity I created. The map I created has a .bsp extension and I cannot open it in the hammer. Please help, I am stuck.

It's working now. I used a different editable map and added the entity there.
Thanks |

jhyap, you can actually load entities into maps, say, if you wanted a zombie to spawn by the info_player_counterterrorist in css maps, make a info_player_counterterrorist entity, remove it from the point based entity list and then the zombie will spawn at that spawn point.
