Multiplayer to Single?

Hi! New to the developing scene.

I was wondering if it is possible to basically create a single player version of a multiplayer, say, Counter-Strike Source? How would I go about doing that?

Thanks!

.
Well when you open source sdk down where it says close. above that is a tab where you can select what game mode you want to open hammer in. css dm hl2 etc etc.

If you have the vmf to a css map you can open it in hl2. if not then you will have to creat your own vmf.
The thing about hammer in css and hl2 mode is that css has a lot more models and textures. (probably why a lot of people like mapping for css.)

So, if you were to recreate the css map Office, you would have to build the whole thing in hammer because you dont have the vmf to office.

does that answer your question?

I think so. But like if it was single player, how do I set the spawn point for the person as opposed to setting a t and ct spawn point. Do i just overlay the spawn points?
