Portal Challenge Records
WARNING: SPOILERS EVERYWHERE IN THIS TOPIC
I'm the kind of guy who's always anxious for competition, so I was ecstatic to see these challenges (with scorekeeping) implemented in the game. Maybe we can compile some records into a neat list to see what kinds of achievements people have made. Test Chamber 13: 14 seconds My only good score that I've worked on so far.  Post your records and discuss strategies here. Screenshots are helpful as proof, but optimally everybody would like to see a youtube link to a clean video replay, especially for the best listed records. From now on, new records by new posters won't be listed unless a video is provided (time run) or at least a thorough strategy is given. Wow, good stuff... my best is 17 on that level so far. Anyone tried doing the steps challenges yet? They seem the hardest to me, but maybe I'm just not seeing a good technique here.

I'm assuming the techniques will just be to take portals everywhere you go, but I haven't tested it out enough to figure out any good strategies yet. It'll also take some practice to get good at getting every inch out of every step without registering the next one heh...

Steps is crazy hard, i don't even want to attempt it, its kinda lame. However time and portals is pretty neat.

Damn... 12 is nice. Pretty sure it's not possible with the strategy I was using, so I'm gonna have to modify it somehow.

I tried steps for 13 for a while... it's really hard. My lowest is 25, you need 20 for a silver, i don't even wanna guess what a gold is. It takes me about 7 steps to just grab the first box!!

Ok, quick question, how are you guys getting 10 seconds for challenge 14? I can get 12, that is my best... maybe my strategy is bad or something. I'm up to 4 golds right now, and that's gold on pretty much everything I've tried so far (13 - time and portals, 14 - portals, and 16 portals). Once I try more I'll log it all, but I'd be really curious about time for 14.

How did you do 13 in 4 portals? I couldn't figure it out... Its 2 for the box, 1 for the button, and 2 to reach the door. thats 5, I don't get how you did it.
