Civilization 3: Complete Crashes before starting

When I try to run Civ3: Complete, it immediately crashes without any errors, Steam says I have all the files at 100% and fragmentation 0%.

O/S: Vista 64-bit
Mem: 2.5GB DDR2

If you're lucky there might be//someone might release a patch to allow you to play in Vista...

Like command and conquer red alert is a windows 95 game, but I can play it on XP because someone released a fix.

Or you could just downgrade because Vista is teh sucks.

That's Valve for you. I wish Sierra owned STEAM, the support would have been amazing.

Unhappy

I have same problem. Is there no fix? is there no patch? Does it mean that there is NO way to run Civ 3 on Vista64 and i just spent $30 on nothing? Only way to make it work is to buy new (older) windows XP? You really could write to game description that i does not run under vista.
