visible shockwave in the sky possible?
ok. i've been looking around the net and cant find anything, maybe somebody here has tried or may be able to give me some insight on how to acheive it.
basically lets say a beam charging up and shooting into the sky(which i can do) but once it reaches the sky it will have a small explosion(i can do) and send out a shockwave thats visible in the sky(dont know how to do that) and also team colored. anybody have any ideas? EDIT: i'm sure i could create a animated texture to do it, but i think an entity would look alot better. |

Make a model, kinda like what they did with the Super Portal hovering over the Citadel in Ep2. Or wait for the new SDK to come out, it'll include the ability to create particles, and with that you can (hopefully) easily create that effect.

new sdk? when is it coming out? and will the "new" entities or whatever their including in it work in ALL source games/mods(namely Fortress-Forever)?
and dont know how to model. thanks for your help man. |

Every mod will have to update their code base to work with ep2 engine.
