THQ now owns the rights to Homeworld I dont know if you guys have played Homeworld or Homeworld 2 but they go under the best games of all time for me. THQ Please re-release Homeworld 2 on STEAM. I have been trying to buy it forever but cant find it at any used video game outlets. Homeworld 2 was one of the best games ever. I would be willing to buy it the instant it was released on steam and so would my friends (we play it at lan partys).
More information on THQ rights to Homeworld: http://kotaku.com/gaming/homeworld/t...hts-318681.php THQ PLEASE! -HiLTZER |

Unfortunately, the fact that they now own the Homeworld IP doesn't necessarily mean that they own the publishing rights to the original games. It just means the have rights to anything new produced under the Homeworld brand. They might have gotten the publishing rights to the existing games, but it's not guaranteed just by them buying the IP rights.

Homeworld is a space game, I guess?
I don't like space games, but this looks interesting.

Hmm, new reports say Relic might be working on Homeworld 3.
That would mean that the first and second might come to steam. |

Homeworld and Homeworld 2 are one of the best Space RTS games out there. If you played Sins of the Solar Empire, then Homeworld was their inspiration. If there is a Homeworld 3 coming out, I will be very very happy.

I totally agree Homeworld 2 was so epic we still play it at school today between classes. It was so in depth for only having 2 races imagine if they had 4 or more?

I loved the Homeworld series as well. It is good to see that Relic/THQ now owns the rights to the series again. If they are not working on Homeworld 3, I would be honestly surprised.
http://www.joystiq.com/2008/11/24/re...3-development/^^^^^^^^^^^^^Support for the claim that HW3 is on it's way. |

As long as they go back to focusing your camera on your own units. That's what made Homeworld so interesting is that your sensors (and by extension, camera) was limited by your fleet's position. In Homeworld 2, they really screwed up the feeling of having a reliance on your fleet for absolutely everything, and turned Homeworld into a generic RTS.
