Mouse and Keyboard Freeze

After the Steam Update on April 1 my cs started to freeze my keyboard and mouse for 1-5 seconds during scrims. I dont know why but some people on the forums also say that they have the same issue too. It is not my pc because everything was fine before the update and my cs was running smoothly. I have an ATI graphic card with AVG anti virus. I hope steam fix this problem soon because i am not able to play in scrims with my mouse and keyboard freezing randomly in the middle of a match. It will freeze for 1-5 seconds then it will work again and the problem will keep going on and on which jaratees me off. So i am asking steam to fix this problem because i swear its not my pc and people on the forums and some of my friends are having problem with this too.

Go to your control panel, Administrative Tools, click Services, and disable Ati Hotkey Poller and restart your pc

I did that already it doesnt work still i shouldnt have to do this since steam is the one that messed up the game.

Well i have a ATI card and that solution works for me, even after the update.
You could also try starting CS, ALT-TAB out to desktop, ATL-CTRL-DEL and right click hl.exe and set the priority to low then go back to cs
aaaaaaaaaaanddd if that dont work, try reinstalling counterstrike along with your graphic drivers.
