I got the patch to apply the same way I got the 1.5 patch to apply

went into my registry and changes "DigitalDistribution" to "notDigitalDistribution" and then ran the downloaded patch installer.

After the install finished I changed the "notDigitalDistribution" back and it all works great.

note: play with your registry at your own peril!

will try this out tonight as i have a clan practice and everyone else has updated already

This sounds like a hack. Doesn't Steam auto-update? Of course it does.

you had to post this after i go out of my way to borrow my buds cod4 cd and install that and patch it and all that jazz ........

cept for me, I didn't find a "DigitalDistribution" I found a Key that said "Digital Distribution" with a value of "Steam"

Where is the registry location that this is supposed to be?

edit: nevermind it is "Digital Distribution" not "DigitalDistribution" to "notDigitalDistribution" that kinda would have helped

Well its 05.06 here (In Australia) and still no update for COD4, i'm guessing its gonna be US time. . .again

For once it would be nice to have something released in Australian time so we don;t have to wait till 2-3am the next day
