Thumbs up Gav's Character Art . . . .

Hey all!

Just like to share these series of pic's I'm currently working on, massive fan of TF2 so I had to illustrate these crazy characters. I'll be doing 2 versions of each character both for the Red and Blu teams, showing off their taunts..............

I'm aiming to emulate the postcard type look with my own style infused going for a quick, inked illustrative look much akin to newspaper comics/characactures from the era. . . .
. . . .

Hope you all enjoy them as much as I do drawing these, I use pencil, ink with a quick paint-over in Photoshop:

I need YOU!

Just want to run some ideas with you all here regarding a possible new set of TF2 collectable card designs...........

We have the recent Scout portrayed on an old baseball card, I would like some ideas for the other characters as to what sort of card/backdrop they could be featured on?

Each character illustration needs to be about A4 portrait in dimension to fit the character in, I'd appreciate any suggestions you may have? Thinking half the team for Red and Blu variants, with Red characters bordering the evil look, Blu for the neutral, good....

So far I've come up with

Spy - Some sort of calling/business card, an assassin for hire, nicely laminated with pristine text....

Pyro - A semi burned collectable cigarette card, with maybe promoting the benefits of smoking!....

Engineer - A crinkled, oiled stained blueprint page torn from some long lost Manuel, mathematic equations and measurements adorn this schematic....

Soldier - A page from an old war diary or book of combat, with arrows highlighting different vital points of hurt around the soldier's outline....

I've been asked loads of times for higher resolution wallapers, I really appreciate it but just like to say the wallpapers in my gallery are LARGE....

Max rez is 1920x1200, just hover your mouse cursor to the left of the image to find the 'Download' button to view the full size resolutions....

Please ignore the dimensions displayed to the right of each image, that's just DA's rescaled size so the image fits in your browser....

Its come to my attention that some cannot see the work in each gallery, it looks like to view mass work in such galleries requires a DeviantArt membership, so here's a direct link to my gallery without posting hundreds of individual links:

My Gallery . . . .

DeviantArt also resizes very large images so please click on 'Download' to the left to view the full size wallpapers

More on the way soon

Cheers

Gav
