ropes
Im trying to make a rope but Im having some problems with it. I want to make my rope curved not straight, For some reason when I compile my map, I see my rope straight like a pencil, I want it to be like realistic that is curved. I dont know how to explain but could someone help me or give me a tutorial or something?

In the first entity - the move_rope one - set the "Slack" property to something higher. Experiment with it, Hammer gives you a preview of how much it will slack so it's easy to set it perfect

If you're looking for even more realism you can also make it affected by physics so it lies over other objects properly, though this makes it more expensive. Valve's wiki has a good deal of other info about ropes too: http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Ropes
