Shouldn't Steam have an option that limits your download speed? - Page 2

Setting a limit on Steam download bandwidth seem like a very sensible suggestion. Now I think about it, its strange that it is not already a feature.

Haha. I know, but I was jealous.

Anyway, a steam-based throttle would be great for my work. Yet, there is nothing concrete outside of pausing installations/downloads. Totally screws up the local network taking every ounce of bandwidth, and no amount of QoS helps clear it up.

I understand you too Sasso. MANY times i have been downloading something on Steam and it has slowed down the internet for everyone in my house.

"Quality of Service" an attempt to limit traffic at our gateway. Just doesn't work.
