Display Settings

Does anybody know how to change the display settings?

Find this file:
\Steam\steamapps\common\world of goo\properties\config.txt

You can edit the resolution there. I changed mine to 1440x900.
However, this prevents some items from being visible on the screen. (Maybe a widescreen thing.)
The game really needs a windowed option though. Everytime I alt+tab out of it, I can't get back to it and have to kill the process in Task Manager.

At the moment no other resolution is supported, and for the moment the statement is that the resolution is supposed to stay at 800x600, but i hope they decide to make other resolutions work as well.

I found that if you press Alt+Return whilst playing the game goes into windowed mode

Ah. Alt+Enter worked for me too. Thanks.
I hadn't thought of that. Haven't had to use it since like Windows 95.

Edit:
It also keeps it windowed after you quit and restart it.
I'm also running it on 1024x768 now and it seems to be playable. Haven't had the same problem I had while running it on 1440x900.

I hope 2D Boy's add some kind of resolution and compatibilty option not only for 4:3, also for 16:9 and 16:10 aspect ratios.... I need to play in WIDESCREEN HD (1680x1050)

Just downloaded the game and the fact that there is only one supported resolution is quite sad. I really hope this is addressed soon.

Same here. I really wasn't expecting only ONE resolution. Let alone that resolution being 800x600. Kind of ridiculous this day and age. Especially since all the screenshots are in widescreen, though there is no widescreen support.

I'm severely disappointed, in that respect.

I think the widescreen screenshots are from the Wii version, which supports Widescreen (Of course). And I think they'll add more resolutions later.

They better do it, for a $20 game it's a bit odd. On the other hand, good it's not 320*240.

I am able to play at 1920x1200 completely fine by editing the config file, except after I complete the level the continue rope or whatever it is doesn't drop down after I get the desired number of goo. The game looks so much better at 1920x1200, is there no way to get around this?

This seems to be a common bug, hopefully there will be a patch.
