Stalled Loading and Graphical Load-in fix
Starting the game with less RAM will correct the issue until the game is patched.
Launch Msconfig (Start>Run>Msconfig) Click on the Boot tab. Choose Advanced Options. Change the Maximum Memory setting to something less than 2000 megabytes. 1500 is a good beginning point Restart your computer and launch the game. If you're using XP and seeing the issue, the msconfig will have a Boot.ini tab and then under Advanced, you will need to lower the MAXMEM option. This is not the permanent fix for this situation. We hope to get a patch to release as soon as possible. |

Its good to know that there is a temporary fix, but I will not be reducing the amount of RAM I have. I spent £££££££££££ on my system, and I wont be reducing anything thank you very much!
Rockstar better get this working |

Any word from Rockstar on a patch planned for Bully PC? For Steam or Retail version?
I have Retail, myself. Any chance Retail version could be added to list of games Steam will accept for CD Keys to be allowed to also be used over Steam? |

None of the "fixes" have worked for me and I'm on the updated Steam version! I have paid £17 and I want a game I can freakin' play! |

This thread is over a year old, and the game has been patched since then. So far as I can tell, it still fails to work worth a frak for me, but supposedly you no longer have to reduce your usable RAM. Frankly, the game worked better for me when I had to mess with the RAM, since the patch my sound is buggered, the controls are even more sluggish, and the game crashes about every 10 minutes.
Rockstar's had a couple of years to fix this now, and haven't. They've demonstrated that they can't do a PC port to save their lives nowadays. |
