Out of curiosity is Washington/Portland still going through maintenance or experiencing issues? I restarted steam just recently and now it's unable to connect to the steam network.

Yeah. People who tell you to be patient always do it so impatiently.

In short, get over it.
You don't have a clue by that response.
Also it's down quite often even without the downtime thread Announcements.

Also down for ten mins or even one min When playing games like DD and 2 hours in getting to wave 23+ then kicked because steam goes down is 2+ hours wasted for nothing.
So yes some ppl have a right to be cheesed off.

This is maybe the best place to ask this, I'm trying to figure out how to setup a Rainmeter RSS feed of the downtime announcement thread cause I'm tired of only seeing announcements after Steam is already down. However the site only seems to be able to do forums and not specific threads.

Ie: http://forums.steampowered.com/forum...745&lastpost=1 should theoretically be the url for an RSS feed to the announcement thread. But it does nothing.

However this one gives me a feed for this entire forum: http://forums.steampowered.com/forum...=14&lastpost=1

But I don't want the forum, I just want the one single thread. I can't find anything about how to do it anywhere. Does anyone here have any idea?
