Purchasing Gifts on eBay / Receiving Gifts from Strangers

You should not accept Steam Gifts from anyone you do not know. Also, you should not purchase Steam Gifts from anywhere - including online stores such as eBay. As the saying goes, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

What is the issue?
  • These gifts are often purchased with a stolen Credit Card and may be removed from the account.
  • Third parties such as eBay and PayPal may not assist you since no merchandise physically changed hands.
