What happened to my saves?

I've just started PvZ up and suddenly all my progress seems to have been lost. I hadn't been screwing around with the files or done anything otherwise out of the ordinary... any ideas? D:

EDIT: Someone has kindly posted a savegame.

MOAR EDIT: I've been closing the game by going to the main menu and then terminating the process using ctrl-alt-delete instead of closing it normally, and it seems to be working. It's a little inconvenient, but better than losing your progress.
Also, this is kind of tentative. So no suing my ♥♥♥ if you lose your progress again >_>

Same here, my guess it was the new update. But now I have to kill the boss again on his revenge "mini game"

You mean you were pushed back to an earlier level, but not all the way to the start?

It still remembered my profile name, but I now have absolutely no progress. It's basically as it was just after I'd created my profile for the first time.

Nah! yesterday I got all the Mini game trophies and today I got the update and started the game & notice I'm missing 4 mini game trophies

Same, was working fine yesterday, me & the gf doing a level each on seperate profiles, got upto 2-1 on mine, saved, switched, she got upto 1-8, saved / switched and i went back to 1-6? same with her profile, way to go popcap

Running Vista 64 btw if thats any help, have had no probs with other popcap or 30+ other steam games

All progress is gone. Its like i have reseted my profile

Thought id start fresh, thinking it might have just went dodgy with the recent patch. So deleted both profiles, uninstalled, downloaded fresh copy, installed, loadeded up and there it was, our 2 old profiles, still bugged. No matter how far i get, it keeps forgetting to save and im back to 1-6

If you want to start afresh, you'll need to manually delete your save files.

When you uninstall it doesn't delete your saves in the popcap version (unless you specifically tell it to).

I'm not sure if steam version is same.

Also, are you able to start a new profile? Are you saying that new profiles are just bugged period? If so, having those bugged saves might be useful to popcap.

Using the Steam version. I can start a new profile, do a few levels, save, exit, restart, but its not there anymore, just those 2 old profiles. Ive tryed finding the game folder / saves, but no luck, ive read the FAQ but they just arn't there.
Sent off a webnote to popcap, so hopefully they come up with a fix. Shame, really fun little game, but broken for some it seems
