It's just far too short.

Combat is fun, graphics are nice (if a bit stiff), and the story is at least interesting which is better than a lot of games these days.

It's simply over too fast. Had they made a full game of this it would have been much better. After playing the Xbox version I'll probably pick this up after it drops in price.

Also as far as that gametrailers review? Yeah, they don't know how to review games. That guy will praise a game the entire time then give it a 5, then he'll turn around and talk trash about a game the whole review and give it a 9. (Trust me here, i watch all their reviews.)

Don't use review as your sole bias for purchasing a game. They're simply opinions, and we all have our own for a reason.

i don't trust any sponsored review site of any sort
the problem is picking out the troll reviews from the true user based ones though when reading forums
most will just blast a game because they can't play it, even if it runs smooth as silk for others (UE3 comes to mind, i love it, it plays smooth and looks great on my system. same for Crysis, back when it was released even i loved it, the gameplay was spectacular, and the visuals were and still are jaw dropping! but both games get slandered about by many who just don't know how a comp works enough to tell their bargain bin vid cards aren't gonna work here)

i thought from the vids/screens the anims looked kinda stiff.. i'd expect the bots to be so, but the people? bah.

so its another half game though eh? hmm may hafta wait for a price drop or sale then before i get it.

Yeah I'm waiting on a sale before I purchase it. I DO want to play it on the PC as I enjoyed the bit I played on the Xbox. but 4 hours in this type of game simply isn't worth purchasing it at the moment.

4 hours for $50 is a really bad bargain. I was looking forward to this game until i saw mediocre reviews of it. It scored low because of the short campain with no multiplayer and the mediocre shooting/on-rails gameplay itself. Too much for Too little = ripoff.

Agreed. I just finished playing Dead Space and it was well worth the money. I got it for 30 bucks and it took me 20 hours to finish it, the game itself was lots of fun...now Terminator is 50 bucks and 4 hours? I'll pass for now...

gametrailers review dose it justice. this game stinks, i rent it anyways for ♥♥♥♥s and i hate the game, such a pos waist of money, if it wasn't for wolverine i would never try another movie game again,
did you pay attention to the GT review at all? dated GFx NO replay value... 4 hours long... wheres john coners voice?? the game deserved what it got.. 60$ for a game that isnt worth 10$

i agree the games not worth $50 ($60? wtf? your non american i'd assume, or your nutz enough to blast a CONSOLE version of a game in a PC versions forum. or you rely entirely on the PS3 review GT has, that doesn't cover the PC version. same game yes, but the differences are noticible when up for review.), but its far from that bad.
the gfx are not dated, and if they are, then its by one whole year. they are actually pretty good for the size of the levels overall, its about BF Bad company grade FX really, but with bad animations.
the stories not that shabby, though the voice work is pretty low quality.
and i agree 4 hours is pretty short sadly, but blame the publishers for ♥♥♥♥ty time restraints IMO.
that reviewer seems to think he's reviewing a bad CG movie rather than a game, considering he constantly refers to the movie in comparisons (BAD move! this is why most games based on movies, and movies based on games get such horrid reviews, people can't seem to distinguish them and get on with their lives)
he also appears to only be on the easier game settings seeing as his trophies don't have the higher level unlocks, which in its own shortens the lifespan of a game.
GT is as bad as reading Metacritic review score. they aren't worth a damned as they are totally biased (who can pay the most sponsorship money?) and can't even keep their info straight half the time, or ASSUME everyone cares about the nitpicky bull♥♥♥♥ they do.
most of those metacritic scores blast great games (Cryostasis a great innovative horror/FPS/Survival mix given a 69 because the reviewers can't understand the complex story thats very well laid out as you play) as is, then praise total crap (GRAW PC version anyone? the ♥♥♥♥fest it is with mediocre BROWN GFX, horrid AI, a pathetic checkpoint system, and eagle eyed pistolero enemy units, limited weapon selection, bad command system and it has an 80 score)

the game does suck, but its far from the pit of crap that GT portrays.
a fine example is their review gave it a 4.7, the PLAYERS have rated it an 8 so far.
IMHO its actually only worth a 6 as being "good" but not great nore that bad.
its a mediocre game in a mediocre niche market for movie games.

tbh though its from the makers of GRAW PC.
so its expected to suck major ace in the process.

Game looks, and even sounds, decent. It's just way too little content for a full price, and sounds like it gets repetitive soon. This is a game that I will get excited about some steam sale weekend. Ill pay 5 bucks, install it, and have a good deal of fun for the next 3 hours. Until that day, sounds like even 10 bucks would be a little too much for too little.

Did not like this game at all. Graphics were disappointing, animation was stiff, way too short, and the on-rails sequences were pretty bad. Loading times were terrible, and whenever I died it seemed like the game was loading the whole level again. The game seemed to emphasize flanking the main ground units to shoot them in the back (since they're armored in front), but every time I tried they just faced me the whole time, while my AI buddies sat behind their cover.

Terminator Salvation is, simply put, an hour of cutscenes/walking, an hour of loading, and two hours of sitting behind cover.
I'm just glad I picked it up as a rental instead of buying it. At least it made for an easy 1000 gamerscore

Have and beaten the 360 version 1000/1000, I got it for like $16 and its an alright game, but as everyone has said, way short (4hrs), long loads, and repetitive play as there is only 4 enemy types.

Overall the thing that really brought it down for me was the lack of enemy types.

I played the PS3, XBOX 360 version and PC version and didn't like any of them. I really liked the Terminator movies but its just not good or enjoyable. The enemies only had three or so different kinds, the game was short, cover system sucked, controls didn't respond at times, graphics suck, the game is far too easy on the hardest difficulty, the trophies and achievements are to easy, coop doesn't work well, lots of bugs, unpolished game. I think this is a overpriced game for $50. $5 maybe but that is tops. I am not a stupid reviewer. I play lots of games and I am very easy on games. I just didn't think this is a good game. I tried to like this my hardest but it was impossible for me. 15%/100% Terrible game

Yeah, most people are saying it is a very short game. Most likely that is true although I have seen the game engine and it's the same graphics as of Gears Of War which I very like. I too will wait for it to be 5 bucks or something because it definitely isn't worth 20.
