Need help forwarding ports on your router?
Try here: http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm
They have instructions (and screen shots) of almost every router. __________________ Do you have private cheats or binaries? Feel free to PM me the information. Help keep games cheat free! Click to Contact VALVe Support. |

Does this allow 2 computers hooked up to the same router to play the same internet game?

This may sound dumb, but I cant seem to get people from online to join my dedicated server. My server runs on a seperate machine that I dont use, but it hosts the game. I am pretty sure I have all the right ports open, and for the right IP address, but still no good. So, just for the sake of everyone, what are the ports and types that need to be open? Thank you for your patience.

k i looked at that. i have a DI-514, to set up the port forwarding i need:
1 the name of the service i am trying to forward ports to 2 the private IP address, (is that the one that whatismyip.com would say? or the one it says if you do 'ipconfig /all' in the windows command thing) 3 protocol type 4 private port 5 public port i dont know what those are, like what would the name of the service be, Half-life dedicated server or something? |

I just did what it said on the website, and now i cant even open up hlds.exe!!! I click on the hlds.exe, then i wait for the blank screen to pop up, but it doesnt. I wait a few more minutes, it still doesnt pop up! Does it have something to do with my HLDS.exe, or Counter-strike Retail, or i did osmething wrong in the port forwarding?

When opening ports are you supposed to write your external ip adress in the line "ip adress" or the lan ip? |

i'm not completely sure but i don't think the service name really matters? i think it's just for you to know which ports are doing what.. but correct me if i'm wrong..
