Question Peggle looks pixelated & blocky in Windows 7

I recently purchased the "Peggle Complete" pack on steam and noticed the games look pretty poor in Windows 7, they have a weird pixelated / low res look. But if I reboot into Windows XP they look fine, I'm running the same desktop resolution in both OS's and latest nvidia drivers (Geforce GTX 260), Is there anyway to make it look right in Win 7?

Here's some comparison shots I took, Be sure to view them at full size (not scaled):

this may sound silly (and IS lacking logic), but try turning off the 3d acceleration. helped me with peggle deluxe.

I have the exact same problem in Windows 7. I don't know what could cause it other than the resolution defaulting to 800x600 (which we can't change, to my knowledge).

Wow yea I didn't think disabling 3d accel would be a good idea but you're right, it doesnt look pixelated anymore the only downside is it forces the game to run 800x600 but it still looks a lot nicer (and still runs smooth) Thanks.

Took me awhile to notice but with 3D accel disabled the Rainbow effect is missing when you finish a level (as its showing the Fever Score)

It's worth noting Peggle Nights doesn't have any problems in Windows 7 (Doesn't look pixelated with 3D accel enabled).

Another solution is to just run the game in windowed mode.

This enables me to actually get work done and throw some quick Peggle sessions in from time to time without having to go through resolution changes.
