how do i unlock characters???

It depends on what Peggle game you are talking about.

In Peggle Extreme it is impossible to unlock other characters than Björn the Unicorn.

In Peggle World of Warcraft Edition it is impossible to unlock other characters than Björn the Unicorn and Splork the Alien. Splork the Alien is unlocked by completing the first stage of adventure mode.

In all the other Peggle games the characters are unlocked by completing stages in adventure mode.
