NVIDIA GT/GTS/GTX

Okay.., just wondering whats better GT GTS OR GTX??
Like my card is 7950 gt what would be different if it was gts or gtx?

gt is usually the value card while gtx is the best performance most expensive card not sure about gts.

You forgot ultra.

With Old Nvidia card (Pre 2xx series) The card grading was as follows:

GS/GT/GTS/GTX/Ultra Ordered from worst to best.

They dont stand for anything. enggmaster was just saying the GTX branded cards are the high end.

Nvidia also has changed thier numbering scheme. 250,260,275,280,285,295..

each higher number is a better card over the last and gt over gts over gtx is sub-group variations. GTX being highest. Some cards don't have multiple variations as well. The GTX275 is just that..there is no GT275 or GTS 275. same with some others.

That's not to say that old habits die easily.
The 250 is a GTS. There are also OEM-only cards, which are various flavors of GT and G, with numbers between 100 and 240.
