Anoat City
Is anyone else utterly freaked out by the dianogas? Seriously, I've had this game since it came out - almost 14 years - and I still have never finished Anoat City without cheating because those freaks give me the heebie-jeebies in the worst of ways.

Heh, I always farking hated Anoat City. Not because of the dianogas specifically (though their CHOMPING ways didn't help), but because of the sheer absurdity of it all. Why do these sewers have switches to fill chambers more? Why are they all closed except for one at a time? WHY IS AN IMPERIAL OFFICER HIDING IN THE SEWERS?!

Anoat City is definitely one of the worst in the game, between the dianogas, the switch puzzle at the beginning, and the precision jumping at the end.

Heh. Wait until later. You have to take on Kell Dragons barehanded. When those things jump at you... that is really freaky.

I played Anoat City for the first time ever a couple of days ago. It reminded me of one of Strife's more infamous levels and I was quite relieved when I finished it and didn't have to run around in those dark labyrinthine sewers any longer...

Creepy
I'm right with you on Anoat city. Diagnogas are the creepiest critter in the game.
The Kell dragons stumped me for the longest time, but I never really thought of them as creepy. It never, never, never occured to me to actually PUNCH one of those things. I mean who but a game designer would believe that you could kill a Kell dragon with your bare hands. I actually gave up the game for a while because I couldn't get past the Kell dragons. I finally called the 1-800-Help-me-Obi-wan line to find out how to get past them. That's right, back in the olden days you could actually call a free 800 number for game tips. How the world has changed. That wizard's just a crazy old man. |

Those things were free? I remember them being $2.95 a minute.

I hated this level to start with, but in the end I played it so many times I knew it like the back of my hand.
