Need help with Steam Friends - "away" function problems

Hi.

For unexplainable reasons, I might have changed some settings so that my Steam Friends isn't showing "away" when I leave the PC for a couple of minutes.

It's a little unimportant problem, but if it could be fixed, it would be nice.

It is so, I can't find the setting where I can reenable this feature... can anyone help me with that? I know I should look harder, but I've been through that damned settings tab like a bazillion times by now.

Can someone tell me where it is? If it's gone, then why?

Thank you for your help, and rep for the one who can give me the correct help!

it goes to the away status if you do not move your mouse.
maybe the mouse is keeping it active easy to test when you unplug it.

Perhaps it's because I have the Razer DeathAdder which proclaims to have this "always on" mode...

Is that the problem? If so, then thanks.

if "always on" works on a signal to keep it alive every few minutes that could be it.
I don't see that option in my copperhead so can't test.

Just set it manually to "Away" when you leave your computer. (Or else turn it off when you're not using it)
