Problem with Steam GUI

Hey guys,

I'd like to ask whether it's possible for those of us, who uninstalled IE7/8 from our system (W7 platform) to see the content on Steam store via Steam GUI. I currently have only google chrome installed and for me to see contents on steam store, I have to open up steam store in google chrome.

Would that be too much of a hassle to get a workaround?
