How to reinstall steam games?

How do I reinstall steam games? Do I just right click and do "Delete all local content" Then reinstall again? Because when I download company of heroes it took 3 hours. I dont really want to go through that again... I want to reinstall COH. I only get like 800kb/s (I should be getting like 5GB+ but whatever. Steam is dumb lol). Any other way to reinstall?

You have to delete the folder itself (look for your Steam folder). Yes, it will take quite a while to download again. Imagine what I had to go through when I had to reformat and install 20 of my Steam games all over again.

I just built a new cpu...and cant seem to find my old games on steam...could u tell me how to re download them from steam.

Click on a game.
Click the "Install" button.
Click "Next" a few times.

5GB+ LMFAO, 5gb/s your harddrives can't store data that fast. Ok why do you want to delete it anyway? Why not just verify the game cache and repair it?

Was your old hard drive affected? You may not have to re-download.

Is the game showing as installed or uninstalled? Are there files under Program Files > Steam > steamapps > common > [game name]?

Open Steam and go to your Library-Games section. Right click on the game and click on Properties. Click on Verify integrity of game cache... Wait for it to complete and it will either tell you everything is OK or it will need to re-download files.

right now it's saying "1 file failed to validate and will be reaquired", but it's not moving from there.

Try reinstalling your entire library at 400kb/s with a 40GB cap. I've still got 24 games left and installing just one uses 1/4 of my bandwidth for the entire month

I one snailmail'ed someone a backup of The Orange Box, it was faster than him downloading it (even if he wasn't on a 4GB quota).

off topic sorry but im a terminology ♥♥♥♥ and mislabeled speed ♥♥♥♥, first off its not a new "cpu" its just a new computer the cpu is short for the central processor unit, and no you cannot hit 5GB/s
