l4d2 server?

When can we expect the l4d2 server to be released? On the same day as the demo? a day or two before? I certainly hope we don't have to wait for nov 17.

How was it done for the release of l4d1?

I wasn't paying much attention to l4d when the first demo came out. Was the server available when the demo was released? or did everyone have ti wail till the offical release?

I can't quite remember but I think it was either of the two... Released a few hours before the demo was or released a day before the demo was.

EDIT: Looks like it was a day before the demo was available. HLDS Announce shows that the preload of the server was released on the 5th of November 2008 and then the demo was available on the 6th...

Sure would be nice if they'd release the server at least a day before the game. Valve never gives us admins a chance to prepare. Although if they'd just give us some warning on updates and maybe a little documentation on things, I'd be joyous.

Yus where is the server?

Listen servers are poor to say the least for gameplay. Have basicly paid to get access to this demo, I expect more!

Look at msing's link. server will be available for windows platform at the same time as the demo. In just a few hours, GSP's will have servers up and running. Besides, valve will have offical servers up and running.
