STEAM Release Delayed Date: 30 October 2009
STEAM Borderlands Delayed Till Release Date: 30 October 2009
OFMG ! Are you Kidding me ! (Count down was down to 1 hour until release, Then Steam pushed release back 4 days). I think its time I Stopped Buying games through steam * game was available in stores for purchase this morning. BUT STEAM WANTS ME TO WAIT 3 Days * steam Version ended up being $12 more than retail (Exch rate) BUT STEAM WANTS ME TO WAIT 3 Days * Steam Support (I'd post a question to them -) BUT STEAM WANTS ME TO WAIT 3 Days Well I believe i will go download the Pirated version of Borderlands Just so i have something to Play while i wait on Steam to release my purchased version. Funny Point: When Steam was 1st released , it offered one of th most effective ways to prevent piracy (games attached to log-ins) Yet here i am being Driven to Pirate By Steam LoL.. NB. Gearbox stated Release Date was down to Steam... [I picture a "Glorious New Digital Age" where electronic information can be sent across the world Instantly ,well Plus or Minus 3 Days depending on released date] ... and as for the STEAM CLIENT and its Programmed Bugs Have you ever Noticed that the Steam client application is so extremely well programmed that it can KNOW and UNDERSTAND * Your login/password for your Private (Account) * Your Age - Attached to your (Steam ID) * Your Where you live (Location) But when Advertising Games it Suddenly forgets * That its only you using the (Account) * How old you are when logged onto you (Steam ID) * What price you will pay in your country (Location) * Or If the game will be on time in you (Location) /Rage "The Glass is neither Half Empty or Half full, You just have the wrong sized container" - TaggarT Last edited by TaggarT100 : 10-26-2009 at 03:47 PM. |

Why are they censoring these threads out too?
Anyway, If the U.S. gets delayed I'll cancel with Steam and buy from D2Drive. Theirs still shows a few hours. |

This is for Europe and Australia, just to clarify. And apparently the release date for those regions has always been the 30th. Steam had it listed incorrectly.

it wasnt valve who decidet to push back the date, it was the developer of the game, so complain to them about it. if you cant comprehend that dont buy games through steam and deal with cds/dvds

People from the Northwest U.S. are halfway retar.ed. Believe me I live here and see it all the time (not from here though). So these kind of mistakes do not surprise me one bit coming from a northwest company.

Yep this has really burnt me, to advertise a game to be available on a certain date (that was finished), allow you to preorder weeks before, then preload, only to ♥♥♥♥ up the realease date on THE MAIN PAGE FOR THE PRODUCT in their shop. Could this be misleading or bait advertising?

I am incredibly confused, It says that in America it's released in <1hour and in Europe the 30th. But mine says it is due to the 29th and I live in South America, last time I checked South America was a part of America.
Or was it only in North America? I want an answer I can't just guess if the description of something is like: America 26th, Europe, Australia ETC the 30th. I mean.... wtf. |
