I've asked for a refund

Had to pay $45 because I was pressed to have the game preloaded before release and play it right away with friends. Turns out I could have taken the time to find 3 more people for a 4-pack (or should I say retail price?).

Counting down all day up until there's one hour left and then having it update was like a kick in the stomach. All my enthusiasm disappeared almost instantly. I don't want this game anymore and suddenly it isn't worth my 45 dollars. Things you spend your money on should be worth it in this climate, I believe.

Anyone else feel the same?

I still think it's gonna be an awesome game and 3 more days isn't gonna kill you. Left 4 Dead 2 demo comes out tomorrow. Could hold you off.

Yeah...it's becoming clear that someone messed up BIG TIME here. Apparently the countdown timer on non-North American Steam clients has been showing the 10/26 date instead of the proper 10/30 date. I'd be pretty upset if I were you, man. I think you did the right thing by asking for a refund. Whether or not it's Valve's or 2k's faul for the misinformation, someone owes you an apology I would say. Hopefully you can find the game somewhere else as I still think it will be a great game, release-day nonsense aside.

I think you're overracting, but hey if you want a refund go for it.

I would take a day to chill out though, its just a game.

Can I have your stuff?

Also, it's a game. It's not as though the world is actually going to end, because you've been denied access to a form of recreational entertainment for a further two days. Seriously, there has to be something else you could be doing, rather than stomping and fussing like a 3 year old that got busted with his mitts in the hallowe'en candy.

Its seems once again the paying consumer gets bent over a table while pirates are free to play the game. Also can anyone point me in the direction of being able to cancel my preorder too?

Amazingly, Steam has a support page.

https://support.steampowered.com/

It really wasn't hard to find. Not trying to be a jerk but...yeah it's right at the top of the screen you're reading right now, where it says "Support". Good luck.

By all means, get a refund and never play this game. Less crybabies = better community.
